Crescent Dogs

As said in prior posts, we're a crescent lovin' family. I could eat just about anything on them. A quick lunch and sometimes dinner at our house involves these guys from time to time. With little prep and a short cook time these are great for nights that we have softball.

Happy Bento!

This bento contains:

Crescent Dogs, veggie chips, cucumbers and fruit snacks.

Into the trees

Once again I broke out the food coloring. For some reason ANY of the food markers that are brought into my home fail miserably when in use. Maybe it's user error...who knows. Whenever I try to use them (mostly on cheese products) they smear or stop working. I tried new ones thinking that they would work but sadly I was fooled.

Anyhow, the cheese and my fingers finally got colored! So all and all a I think that it was successful.

This bento contains:
Roast beef sammie w/ colored provolone accents, yogurt covered raisins, pepper-jack Cheez-its and yogurt stars.

Happy Bento!

Hump Day

The second day of school went well for Bean. I got homework in the form of a million forms to fill out and checks to write but that's normal for the first week right?

TJ's Mac-n-cheese balls, ham and melon with dried cranberries. Not pictured was a granola bar.

Happy Bento!

New school year...

As a new school year begins so will my bento posts.  Last year I took a break due to some health issues and now (hopefully) will be back on the horse. Even though I didn't post most of last school year, I still kept up with those adorable lunches we all love.

I now have a middle schooler (pictured below), therefore I'm no longer allow to do "cutesy" lunches without proper clearance.  I stayed on the safe side today and did what I was was told. But who knows.... I'm not great at following directions, so I may do what I what anyhow ;)

A "Good Luck!" turkey and colby jack sammie, veggie chips, grapes and M&M's.
(with an applesauce cup on the side)

I also thought that I would share two of the back to school pics I took (before I started crying of course) before I was told the middle schooler's aren't walked to the bus. Sigh.

I found the printable for the sign here at Paging Supermom!

Happy bento!

Cheesy face

I'm not so sure about today's bento.  I can't decide if the smiley man is warm and friendly or just creepy.  I used the little cheese cutters the I got from my huge bento haul (click here to see it all) to make his face and hair.  Yes, it's hair.  I maybe should have used a different color cheese so it would have stood out a little.  The base of the face is leftover Hamburger Helper and a cheddar face.  Not my best but Bean liked it :)

Hamburger Helper w/ a cheesy face, a Babybel, carrots, yogurt stars and pineapple.

Yummy pizza!

What do you get with a little extra dinner from last night?? An awesome bento lunch, that's what!  :)

Bean had her sweet friend over yesterday after school and when they were done playing they made me dinner!  Okay, maybe I helped a little...but for the most part this was their creation.  It was so fun to watch them carefully spread everything, cut cute shaped with the pepperoni and even make a caesar salad.

Pepperoni pizza, grapes, extra pepperoni, a Babybel, broc and a Tagalong

Monday our Spring Break starts so we'll be bento free next week!
Happy Easter!

I hate it, she loves it.

I think the title post is in most cases with things concerning 10 year old's.

Today's bento is no different.  Bean asked for a bologna sammie.  My first thought....gross!  The only reason I keep it in the house is because she'll eat it.  BLECH!  I know that I shouldn't be hateful to a lunch meat and I don't mean to offend the fine bologna eaters that read this blog, but I truly dislike this food.

I think that my mom might have gotten her into this lunch meat.  She was never successful in doing the same with me, clearly.
